A hand-formed facing brick with an Italian touch.

The facing bricks (not perforated) have five notched sides and one flat side possibly with an elongated oblique notch. The texture is rough with fine, uneven grain in the notched surface. The firing process takes place in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.

This facing brick has a pink ground with pastel color nuances ranging from orange-red to purple-red, interspersed with shades of yellow in precisely defined proportions.

The colors depicted are a fairly faithful representation of reality.
